Club Championship Rules and Eligibility General: 1. Sixteen (16) will qualify for he Club Championship. Representative teams will be selected from the Evening Organized Leagues as follows: MONDAY OPEN League - 4 TUESDAY MEN'S League - 2 WEDNESDAY LADIES' League - 5 THURSDAY MEN'S League - 5 (See next page to see how qualifiers are determined.) 2. A team may only qualify once per league. 3. A team that qualifies for the Club Championship must have a minimum of two (2) original members of the team to compete. 4. If a player qualifies for the Club Championship on two (2) or more teams, they must decide which team they are going to play with in the Club Championship. The team or teams they choose not to play with will be allowed to select a replacement player from the league they qualified from. The replacement player cannot be a skip unless the replacement player is replacing a skip. (i.e. Tuesday Night Second - may select another second, lead or vice to replace them. Games Committee must approve selection) 5. Teams requiring a spare for a game must select a player from the league they are representing. (Note: a skip may only replace a skip.) Playoff Schedule: Monday/Tuesday - Mar. 30th / Mar. 31st - 6:30 & 8:45 p.m. Monday/Tuesday - April 6th /Apr. 7th - 6:30 & 8:45 p.m. FINALS – Monday, Apr. 13th at 7:00
A draw has been made that ensures that no team will play another team in their own division. (Click here for a copy of the tentative schedule). Each team will be guaranteed 3 games. Awards and prizes for finalists in the Club Championship will be presented on Friday, April 17th in conjunction with the VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DINNER and DANCE.
To Qualify for the Championship: MONDAY NIGHT OPEN LEAGUE: The top four (4) teams after the round-robin will qualify to represent the league. If two or more teams are tied for the last qualifying spot, a playoff game(s) amongst tied teams will determine the last spot.
TUESDAY MEN'S LEAGUE: The top team after each round - robin will qualify. In the event that one team wins both round-robins, then the team that came second (2nd) overall will qualify (taking the total score from both rounds). If teams are tied, a playoff game(s) will be played to determine the representative.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT LADIES' LEAGUE: The top team in each division after each of the first two round-robins will qualify to represent their league. If two teams are tied for first, the team who won the head to head competition against tied teams will qualify. If still tied, a playoff game(s) will be played to determine the qualifier. If a team wins both round-robins, the team who came second (2) in the last round-robin will qualify. If teams are tied, a playoff game(s) will be played to determine the qualifier. The fifth (5) and final representative will be the team that has the highest total number of points after both round-robins who has not already qualified. If teams are tied, a playoff game(s) will be played to determine the final qualifier.
