Introduction to Doubles Curling:
In the past couple of years Mixed Doubles
Curling has been gaining in popularity
worldwide. This is your chance to give this
quick, competitive format a try.
Who: Any curlers with a year or two or more of
experience. There is NO SKIP as your team of
two is a complete collaboration for strategy,
shot selection and broom placement. Only five
rocks are delivered by each team in an end.
When: Sunday January 7th, beginning at 12 noon.
FIRST DRAW IS AT 12 NOON. TSECOND
DRAW BEGINS AT 1:45PM.
What: OPEN Doubles introduction – teams of two
players – no need to be one male and one female.
The draw will be made that day.
No entry fee, no prizes, no trophies, just a
single game to try your hand at this exciting
format.
One game of 8 ends:
RULES will be explained:
5 rocks thrown.
2 rocks placed
No take outs at all until 5 rocks are in
play
Blank end, you lose hammer.
Sweep or not sweep option
Power Play!
Stick delivery is allowed
Rules instruction will be 10 minutes, game play
will be approximately 1 ½ hours.
We hope to interest 8 teams of two to try this
format. If there are more requests than we can
accommodate we my offer a second opportunity.

CURLING RULES
On February 24th the
PSCC will be holding an OPEN DOUBLES Bonspiel
– here is an opportunity to try this format
without committing to a full bonspiel.
We hope to see you come out on Sunday January 7th.
